The short answer
A Dolphin is a robotic pool cleaner made by Maytronics, and the range includes a cordless model, the Liberty 400. 4 Models differ on pool length, coverage, filter and warranty. Compare the figures on each model's own page, such as "Maximum Pool length 40 ft" for the Nautilus CC Plus. 1
What a Dolphin robot is
Dolphin is the robot line that Maytronics sells in the U.S., with a page for each model. 1 4
A robotic pool cleaner is a small machine that drives around your pool on its own, scrubbing and filtering as it goes. If that's new to you, our main guide to robotic pool cleaners explains the basics first.
This page doesn't rank anything. We haven't used these robots. We only compare what Maytronics prints on its own pages.
Four models, four sets of figures
Here's what four U.S. model pages list, checked on 5 November 2026.
The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus w/Wi-Fi lists "Maximum Pool length 40 ft" and "Cleaning Coverage Floor and Walls." 1 Its page also shows "Warranty (years) 1" and "Filter Type Ultra-Fine Filter Kit." 1
The Dolphin Nautilus CC lists "Maximum Pool length 33 ft" and "Cleaning Coverage Floor and Walls." 2 Its filter is a "Fine Filter Kit," with "Warranty (years) 1." 2
The Dolphin Escape is the floor-only one here. Its page says "Maximum Pool length 30 ft" and "Cleaning Coverage Floor." 3 It lists "Warranty (years) 2." 3
The Dolphin Liberty 400 is sold as a cordless robot. Its page says "Maximum Pool length 33 ft" and "Cleaning Coverage Floor, Walls and Waterline." 4 The warranty line reads "Warranty (years) 3." 4
Floor, walls and waterline
Cleaning coverage is one thing that differs across those four lists. One cleans the floor. Two add the walls. One adds the waterline too.
Pick the coverage that matches the dirt in your pool. The Escape page says "Cleaning Coverage Floor," 3 and the Liberty 400 page says "Cleaning Coverage Floor, Walls and Waterline." 4
Only the model page tells you what a robot covers. Read it before you assume.
Pool length, filters and warranty
Compare "Maximum Pool length" with your own pool. The four pages above list 30 ft, 33 ft, 33 ft and 40 ft. 3 2 4 1
Filters differ in name too: Fine Filter Kit, Ultra-Fine Filter Kit and Combine Filter Kit. 2 1 4 Maytronics' pages don't explain the names in the lines we quote, so open the model's page for what each kit means.
Warranty runs from 1 to 3 years across these four. 2 4 Read the warranty terms for what's covered.
Corded or cordless?
The Liberty 400 page calls it a "Cordless Pool Robot." 4 Maytronics' pages for the other three models we read don't use that label.
For run times and the trade-offs, see our guide to cordless robotic pool vacuums.
If your pool is above ground, what to check for an above-ground pool robot covers what to check first.
Power and swimming
Robots run near water. How to power one, where the power supply goes, and whether anyone can swim while it works are questions for your model's manual. Follow it exactly.
This page doesn't quote a Dolphin manual, so it gives no electrical or swimming instructions. Look up your exact model's manual before you buy and again before you first use it.
If the manual and this page ever disagree, the manual wins. Questions the manual doesn't answer go to Maytronics or your pool shop.
